I started Chile y Amor as a project of love. Years ago, I began cooking food that reminded me of being back home in California. Growing up I remember always having to help someone in the kitchen, my mama (grandma), my mom, aunts - they were all great cooks. After many trials and errors and calling mama for her wisdom, my food finally started to taste like a piece of home. After getting married and having my daughter, I found new recipes to make for them. My daughter loves pancakes, pastas, chicken and thanks to my husband, I embraced a whole new central American culture. I’m still learning, still growing, and am no expert. I’m just a regular mom who loves to make delicious food for her family. I’m always trying out new recipes, throwing in a little chile whenever I can but never leaving out the amor.
